Ingredients
7 g active yeast
1 ¾ dl water
1 ¾ dl cold milk
2 eggs
700 g all purpose white flour
55 g sugar
8 g ground cardamom
10 g salt
55 g soft butter
Preparation
Proof yeast with 3/4 dl of the water (44 degrees celcius). Mix the ingredients, knead the dough for approx. 10 minutes on stand mixer at medium speed until the dough becomes smooth and glossy. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Gently dump onto floured surface (do not knead) and divide the dough into 15 equal pieces. Form the rolls by laying a piece of dough on one palm and rolling it around with your fingers on the other. Place the rolls on a baking pan with baking paper about 5 cm apart this will make the rolls reach together but if you don't want them to reach together make more room. Lightly cover and let rolls rise until doubled in size It takes approx. 2-3 hours.
Bake approx. 15-20 minutes at 180 ° degrees celcius (convection oven) until golden brown. Transfer them to a rack and allow to cool.
